    Ingredients

    • 40ml Lustau Oloroso Emperatriz Eugenia
    • 40ml Vermut Lacuesta Rojo
    • 1 tsp Maraschino Liqueur
    • 1/2 tsp Kirsch Eau de Vie
    • 2 dashes of Boker's bitters

    Introduction

    Learn how to make the perfect Sherry Cocktail with our Oloroso Martinez Recipe.
    The Martinez Sherry cocktail may be a predecessor to the martini, but these drinks could hardly be less alike. A classic Martinez starts with equal parts of gin and sweet vermouth, then you add a teaspoon of maraschino liqueur and either Angostura or orange bitters. My sherry variation, substitutes the gin with a stunning aged oloroso sherry and balances the sweetness of the vermouth with a touch of maraschino liqueur and a dash of kirsch gives the drink an extra quick.

    Method

    1. Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
