100 Year Old Spanish Brandy
As used by Michelin Chef Michael O' Hare on Saturday Morning Kitchen
Notes of honey, prunes, liquorice & nuts - Deeply aromatic & flavoursome
From the only brandy house that sprays their casks with aged brandies
Description
Peinado Brandy is located in the town of Tomelloso in La Mancha and it is one of the oldest and most well reputed producers of Brandy in Spain. The unique nature of Peinado is that they spray the soleras with aged brandies, instead of with hollandes, an inferior spirit. This ancient practice has become essential to bring out the aromas and body that gives the unique quality to these brandies.
Our top brandies are 20 and 100 years old, all of them produced in limited quantities.

The Source
Bodegas Peinado
Founded in the early 19th century in 1820, Bodegas Peinado, as a result of serious problems in the vineyards of the neighbouring country, supplied the necessary alcohol (which its vines could not produce) to make the production of French Cognac possible and viable, a situation that lasted until 1972.
The adaptation of our winery’s production resources to produce high-quality brandy, using the same procedures that their ancestors used in the beginning. This gives Peinado its unique personality.
