Our Galician steak box is the ultimate BBQ steak box full of ingredients from this amazing region. The box is the perfect selection for 2 to 4 people to share and makes it the ideal gift for any Spanish food lover or BBQ friend in your life.
The box contains one Galician Rib Steak. From Galicia in the Northwest of Spain, our Galician beef range comes from retired Frisona dairy cows between 6 and 8 years old. This type of ageing allows more natural grass-fed marbling of the beef so that its comparable to the marbling of genetically optimised grain-fed US, Japanese and generic Wagyu beef. These older cows are chubbier animals, have a higher percentage fat content and as such have more marbling, giving these beef steaks a distinct and unique flavour.
Alongside the steak, the box includes a whole cooked octopus vac pac and ready to cook on the BBQ or serve the traditional Galician octopus dish pulpo a feira.
For those with a sweet tooth, the box includes a traditional tarta de santiago ready to cut and serve with some clotted cream.
We have also paired this wonderful Galician BBQ steak box with a bottle Finca Millara Lagariza, a 100% mencia from Ribeira Sacra in the heart of Galicia. This light and fruity Galician red wine is fresh and tempting, the variety is very balanced with soft tannins, sweet and pleasant acidity with aromas of red strawberries and undergrowth.
You will receive all your ingredients in a chilled box delivered with ice pads. Please note that the rubia gallega rib steak will arrive frozen. Defrost for 24 hours in the fridge before cooking. Please note that weights can vary from pack to pack, so expect a slight variation on the weight of your rubia gallega steak.
