GRAPE VARIETY
100% Viognier
TASTING NOTES
The exceptional Vallegarcia vineyard was declared Pago in 2019 with the recognition of a Protected Designation of Origin. It has an area of 50 hectares located at an altitude of 850 metres in the Montes de Toledo region. The estate is made up of poor, acidic and highly evolved soils, the result of the erosion of the oldest mountains in the Iberian Peninsula, with a continental climate, hot and dry summers and cold and humid winters.
Vallegarcía Viognier is a unique wine, which faithfully represents the character of the variety, the terroir of the estate, and the pioneering style of the winery. Viognier grape is unusual to see in Spain and this is probably its best representation.
A white wine partially fermented in barrel for 6 months, elegant and surprising for those who try it for the first time. A white wine with the soul of a red wine, with subtle notes of white and exotic fruits accompanied by summer flowers that remind us of the Montes de Toledo. On the nose, is intense and aromatic, with notes of stone fruit, fresh herbaceous notes and light toasty notes. On the mouth, is fresh and unctuous, with good structure and an enveloping palate where the sensations of bone, herbaceous, dairy and smoke appear. Elegant woody notes on the finish.
