Description
This 5-6 month cured sheep milk cheese from La Mancha has a very intense flavour with wonderful creamy aromas. It has a dense paste with lots of small eyes (ojos). The texture is dry-ish but pliable. It has a complex savoury flavour with hints of caramel and a long intense finish.
Packaged in a 3.5kg wheel, this ‘manchego style’ cheese is small enough to handle and big enough to share.
Serve slices or wedges of this fragrant cheese as tapas or snacks with olives, accompanied by sherry, beer or sangria.
It is also makes a wonderful table cheese accompanied by traditional membrillo (quince paste), fresh fruit or honey.
